Trio Töykeät - Jazzlantis

TODAY'S CD

When you listen to the first track "Tango Dada" it seems impossible that this trio may come from Finland, and yet, as strange and it may seems, this country has a tradition of its own for Tango music (it was an Argentinian friend of mine who once told me this).
A jazz with an almost Latin rhythm and passion. Nothing to share with other examples of nordic jazz sort of (if you allow me to say so) "gloomy". After all, Finnish people don't like to be mixed with other Scandinavian peoples.
A very enjoyable record from beginnig to end, what a pity that this band split up last year.
