#Jazzlives is the name of the twitter campaign to defend jazz, launched by main web sites dedicated to this music. According to arecent survey of National Endowment for the Arts, there are less people attending jazz concerts, and even less youngs. Now, in the articled published on All About Jazz they do not mention if this survey refers only to United States or to the whole world. I am more inclined to think that it refers to USA, even because here in Europe, especially in Italy and France jazz seems to be very alive; there are many festivals even in very small villages and all of them are crowded.
At any rate the promoters of this campaign want to demonstrate that people, in America or in the rest of the world, go to see live jazz. It works in avery simple way. All you have to do is to write on twitter when you go and see a jazz concert, adding the tag #jazzlives to the post. This way it will be possible to see all posts on twitter search engine or on a widget you may put in your blog, you can see it here too! To get the code clic here.
